A descriptive analysis of a place of significance to me. Why is it that this place is significant? How have I formed this bizarre place attachment?
A soft yellow light from my desk lamp, the calming aroma of freshly made tea, and a descriptive analysis to write. I sat down, laptop at hand and poured my thoughts into word without any form of plan. Like all first drafts it was messy and inconsistent, both in terms of structure, tone, and descriptions. But I am grateful for the strong base it provided me. Who knew that cliche writing atmosphere will be this effective for me?
Alas, it needed to be revised. Some ideas needed elaboration, and some paragraphs were generally incoherent. In this second draft I reorganized the paragraphs into a more logical flow, and attempted to better analyze my attachment in a well-developed manner.
When your mind wonders too far ideas become too vague and some elements of the original get lost. This is an issue I faced nearing the end of the last draft, thus some changes were discarded. I wanted to display my creativity and ability to truly analyze the attachment I harbored, to produce a piece that I will continue to cherish.
