A researched argument on an issue that affects modern cities. What is my claim on that issue?
Annotated Bibliography
An annotated bibliography provides sources, a summary, and an evaluation through analysis of each source, to examine the credibility and authority of the sources used. Before this project I had never seen nevertheless written an annotated bibliography, thus the analysis and synthesis in this first draft came to be incoherent.
Improvements made on the annotated bibliography led to this revised version.
Researched Argument
Who would have guessed that for a city issue I would pick one that makes me existentially question the past, present and future? Anyone?
I picked Urban sprawl and the extremities of urbanization as my research topic. It was interesting and more abstract...and that was where I likely went wrong (too much to talk about too little time). My first draft was a disaster to say the least. I had no idea where anything was going and ended up scraping the entire draft by the end of it - well I still kept a good chunk of it, but you get the gist.

Stepped back from the nightmare of a first draft only to realize the original claim I had was rather vague, resulting in a change of claim to a more concrete one under the same umbrella topic. My claim was now more concrete and thus more manageable. I am truly proud of this peace, for a first researched argument it was very entertaining and fun to do (the researching part, planning and draft not so much).
I did more artwork to illustrate the terms in a more comic like manner - people wearing a cardboard cut out of a city and all that. I feel satisfied with this end product and hope to do something similar in the future.
